July Sale - $7 all certificates
ESign certificate for IPA signing
ESign can import your CertDrop certificate files and use them to sign IPA files directly on your iPhone or iPad.
Files ESign needs
- The .p12 certificate file
- The .mobileprovision profile
- The certificate password
- The IPA file you want to sign
How to use CertDrop files in ESign
- Open the CertDrop email or install page on your iPhone
- Download the .p12 certificate and .mobileprovision profile
- Open ESign and import the certificate files
- Paste the certificate password when prompted
- Import your IPA file, sign it, then install the signed app
Common ESign issues
- If ESign says the password is wrong, copy the password directly from the CertDrop email
- If installation fails, confirm the UDID used for the order matches the current device
- If the app opens then closes, the IPA itself may be incompatible or blocked by iOS
- If iOS asks to trust the developer, approve the profile in Settings
Frequently asked questions
Does CertDrop install ESign for me?
When signed app links are available, the install page can include a ready-to-install ESign build. You still receive the raw certificate files.
Can I use the same files in other signers?
Yes. The .p12 and .mobileprovision files can be used in other compatible IPA signing tools.
What if ESign does not show my certificate?
Re-import both the .p12 file and the mobile provisioning profile, then restart ESign.
Is the CertDrop password my Apple ID password?
No. It is only the password for the .p12 certificate file.
