Feather certificate for iPhone signing
Feather is a clean on-device IPA signer. With CertDrop certificate files, you can sign and install apps from your iPhone without a computer.
Files Feather needs
- Your .p12 certificate
- Your .mobileprovision profile
- The certificate password
- An IPA file to sign
How to import into Feather
- Open your CertDrop install page on the iPhone you registered
- Download the certificate files from the page or email
- Open Feather and go to certificate management
- Import the .p12 certificate and provisioning profile
- Enter the certificate password from CertDrop
- Choose your IPA, sign it, and install the finished app
Feather troubleshooting
- If no certificate appears, make sure both files were imported
- If signing fails, confirm the password was copied exactly
- If install fails, check that the UDID belongs to this device
- If the app cannot verify, reconnect to the internet and trust the developer profile in Settings
Frequently asked questions
Does Feather need a computer?
No. Feather can sign IPA files on-device after you import your certificate files.
Can CertDrop include a signed Feather app?
When available, CertDrop's install page can show a ready-to-install signed Feather link for your order.
Can I use Feather and ESign together?
Yes. You can import the same certificate files into multiple signer apps on the registered device.
Why does iOS ask me to trust a profile?
That is normal for developer-signed apps. Trust the developer profile in iOS Settings before opening the app.
